The Honolulu Museum of Art exhibition of Mayumi Oda’s original paintings, scrolls, and byobu has just closed but new works which have just been completed have just arrived.  All of these scrolls have been mounted by Shosaku Yoshimura with traditional techniques with a modern aesthetic.  All of the materials, including the papers, inks and pigments, as well as the mountings were all sourced from Nara, Japan from a select group of craftsmen who create fine materials, much like fine wines.  It is our great privilege to have them on display and we hope you’ll stop by to see them in person!
